Last Weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  We had a nice weekend. Nice sunny weather and  plenty of sunshine. Jess had to work over-time on Saturday just for a few hours. It's was a change of pace. It  gets us extra money to save too.
We went to see Prometheus. It was a really good sci-fi movie. It seems to be a prequel to the Alien Saga. Jess loves the Alien Saga. I do too but I haven't watched it as often as he had. Up until August of 2011 I had been working 6 days a week every week. I didn't have cable just broadcast TV so I wasn't able to watch those kind of movies. Anyways, we went to dinner at Olive Garden since we had a gift card we could use. For some reason, the Alfredo sauce was really good. I like their sauce either way but this time it was really good.
I set my hair in a dry set early on Saturday. It took pretty well. I decided to try my hand at Victory rolls and faux bangs. I've tried Victory rolls before and sometimes I get them right and well, sometimes I don't. Here's a pics of my hair and make-up.

Okay so my hair isn't really that orange. I probably should have picked a different filter.

Here you can see my faux bangs. I tried to use a cut up bun rat but it didn't look well. I could see the ends sticking out and I didn't like it at all.

This was after we got home from the movies. It was after midnight. I was pretty tired/

My shoes. I actually ended up changing shoes because I tripped in a pot hole at the gas station. Yeah I eat it. I scrapped my palms and hurt my knee pretty bad. It sucked. I haven't tripped like that in a long time.

Here's a picture of our boy. He's doing great. He's been going out and enjoying some sunshine.

  2. Thank you. Sometimes I feel like I should vary up my make up but I never like it when I try different colors. I guess I'll stick to the colors that work for me.
I don't blame you for going to a professional. Better safe than sorry twice over.

  3. Oh dear! I totally know what you mean about the tripping. I did it last Summer during a community garage sale. The Mr. and I were walking down hill on the side walk and the next thing I know I am on the ground. (I was SO EMBARRASSED)my left knee was bleeding, stinging and had little rocks in it. I held my tears till we were *almost at the vehicle* Just recently the mark finally faded and it's barely noticeable.

Your hair is pretty, You have lovely eyes and I really like them shoes!

    1. I was cussing up a STORM. I can cuss like a sailor. I work with guys for almost 10 years. I was so mad. The asphalt was in terrible condition. It's a busy place too so you'd figure they'd want to keep it in better conditions.

Thank you. I LOVE me some peep toe shoes. They're cute and look classy.

  4. Yikes, you poor thing! I've taken a few good tumbles in my time and know how unpleasant they can be. I'm glad that you didn't get seriously hurt, lovely lady. I think your hair and shoes look adorable - and may I just say, you have absolutely gorgeous eyes!

Many heartfelt thanks for all of your awesome blog comments,
    ♥ Jessica
